Digital Sign-In Sheet Setup
Setup > Configuration > Reservations > Sign-In Sheet Setup > Digital Signature
When using a supported credit card EMV device, a digital registration card may be displayed on the device and electronic signature captured in place of printing a paper sign in sheet. The display and signature capture can be triggered from a folio or reservation (More options > Digital Signature Capture) as well as during checkin from the Confirm Checkin window. Multiple signatures may be captured and stored for a single reservation or folio and any signatures captures on a reservation will transfer to the folio at checkin. The registration card and signature may be viewed, printed or emailed from the More Options menu as well.
Enable Digital Signatures
Selecting this check box will enable the feature. Unselected, users will not have the option to capture digital signatures.
Language
The digital signature capture supports multiple languages and should be configured for each of the options. The language selected on the reservation or folio will determine which option is displayed to the user.
Title
This is the title or header that displays on the final screen when the guest is actually signing.
Agreement Paragraph
This is the paragraph that will display on screen when the guest is actually signing. This should typically be a short statement agreeing to the terms and conditions or charges displayed.
Additional Paragraphs
These sections are optional but allow additional information to be displayed PRIOR to the agreement paragraph and signature. Each additional paragraph contains a header and paragraph, both of which allow for the use of document variables to display guest specific information.
Document Variables
Selecting from the document variables drop down will insert a placeholder for the selected value into the text field. When the sign in sheet is displayed, the placeholder will be replaced with the actual information from the reservation/folio. For example, the check in and check out dates along with the number of adults and children in the room can be displayed to ensure the guest agrees with the information on the reservation.
The EMV display is limited and long text will require the guest to scroll on the display to read long or multiple paragraphs. Be sure to test your sign in sheet to ensure the length does not require excessive scrolling for the guest.
