Promotional Codes

Promotional Codes allows special access to rates that are not displayed to regular guests. Any special rate attached to a Promotional Code must be sent up to the iQ-WebBook through iQ-WorldLink. In addition to special rates, you can use Promotional Codes to allow special access to Travel Agent, bypass credit card requirements or to force special Market and Segment codes into the reservation.

If a Rate Code exists / attached to a Promotional code, it will no longer appear as a public rate available to guests. For example, if you attach a promotional code to rate type "BAR", then the BAR rate will no longer appear as a Rate Option on any screen until the Promotional Code is entered. Be sure to only attach rate codes to promotional codes that you don't want available to anyone else.

Always Available - Check if the Promotional Code is available for all dates or select a Lower and Higher Date range that the promotional code is available.

Rules to Enforce​

Rate Code - Enter a rate code (optional) to use when this Promotional Code is selected. All rate codes attached to Promotional Codes are not available to regular bookings.

Booking Source / Marketing Source - Optionally enter roomMaster valid UserField1/UserField2 codes that will be inserted into the reservation when a reservation is made using this Promotional Code. The codes entered here must be valid roomMaster UserField1/UserField2 codes.

Travel Agent IATA - Optionally enter a Travel Agent IATA number that will be used when using this Promotional Code. This IATA number will link into roomMaster when the booking is made.

Travel Agent no. - Optionally enter a valid roomMaster Travel Agent ID that will be used when the booking is made.

(Note: Enter either a Travel Agent IATA number or a roomMaster Travel Avent no., but not both.)

Skip credit card requirement - If this is checked, and the promotional code is used, then the guest will be able to bypass the credit card guarantee fields when booking a reservation. This should be used for corporate and travel agent bookings - ones you have a contract with already.

Skip deposit requirement - If this is checked, and the rate would display a Deposit amount to the guest, the deposit will NOT BE SHOWN to the guest as if there is no deposit requirement.
