Custom Fields
Custom Fields allow you to get specific information from your guests during the booking process. The Custom fields is made up of two different sections which determines where the information will be inserted into the Property Management System (roomMaster).
Custom Free Form Fields
Enter up to six Custom Free Form Fields that match the Extra fields in roomMaster. Each one is optional, but if the Extrafield 3 is the one you want to match in roomMaster, you must use the third entry here as well. For example. If Custom Field 3 in roomMaster is "Pets?" and you want to ask the guest if they are bringing a Pet, then you would prompt in the third Custom Free Form Fields entry.
The field title does not have to be the same as in roomMaster. For example, roomMaster may say "Pets" but in iQ-WebBook, the field could say "Are you bringing a Pet?" and then you can put Options such as "No" and "Yes".
If you place no Options, then the field is free-form and the guest can write anything. Normally we do not recommend this as it's best to get the guest to select from one of your specific responses.
Custom Note Fields
Enter up to six Custom Note Fields that the guest can select or enter text into. Anything entered for these values will appear directly in the Guest Notes section in the form of "Title=Their Response".
For example, we recommend adding one called "Anticipated Arrival Time" and then using some options such as:
• Before 3PM • Between 3PM and 6PM • Between 6PM and 9PM • Between 9PM and Midnight • After Midnight
This can really help with staffing as well as determining if the guest is really a no-show during the night audit. The guest would select the option and inside the Guest Notes, it would appear as:
Anticipated Arrival Time=Between 3PM and 6PM
Other ideas would be "Special Room Requests" with the following options:
• Lower Floor Room • Higher Floor Room • ADA / Accessible Room
