Completing Configuration
Once you have completed making sure your Property Management System data is accurate and your pictures are ready, you should then contact InnQuest Software installations to start the link of data. Once installations has completed this link, the system will now check for new reservations on a continuous basis, as well as keep Rates, Inventory, Groups and Hotel Bookings updated.
The very first step of the Property Management System (iQ-WorldLink) connection is Sellable Products. This must be turned on and sent as the very first message up to iQ-WebBook. This sends all the Room Types and their descriptions to the database. It must be sent before Rates and Inventory is sent. Once the Sellable Products message is sent (via iQ-WorldLink), then the room types will appear in the Inventory & Rates section, and you can attach pictures and "clean up" the descriptions and options.
Once the Room Types are setup properly, next send the Inventory as well as the Rates and Hotel Booking Rules up through iQ-WorldLink and verify that you have correct Inventory as well as Rates.
Be sure to tell your assigned installations person if you will be allowing Groups to book on the web and if you want Groups to integrate with iQ-WebBook.
Once this is completed, you should go though all the iQ-WebBook Admin Options before making any link public and having guests start booking on your iQ-WebBook Hotel Booking Engine.
