Inbound Processing

Transport Method - If you are processing reservation documents, select the method to retrieve the documents. Selecting "Move from Local Network or Directory", you can enter any workstation (Server) and directory to make up a UNC path \server\directory, provided it is accessible and shared on the same network.

Outbound Processing

Transport Method - If you are sending inventory (and rate) information to this Trading Partner, select the Method of Transport. If you select "Keep in Outbound Directory", the system will create a sub-folder in the roomMaster folder with the name IQWxxxxxx where xxxx is the Creator ID/Identifier entered on the General Tab.

HTTP Post to Executed Script - Submits the contents of the file to a script on a remote server and accepts the returned result.

The Server name is in the form of [http|https]://remotehost[:remoteport]

The Script name contains the [script folder]script name. /interface/scriptname.aspx

The Content Type of all data POSTED will be "text/xml". The remote system must respond with some type of response with either "Failed" or "Success". This response can be in the form of any XML structure or just plain text. If the system does not return the word "Success" anywhere in the document, the message is retransmitted until a successful response is returned, except for Rate and Inventory transmissions.

All Transport Methods other than "None (Keep in Outbound Directory)" will remove the created Inventory and Rate files regardless of whether or not they are successfully sent via FTP, Copied or Posted. Any other confirmation type of file will not be removed until it is successfully sent to the remote server.

Alert Email - If the Outbound message is sent to an Executed Script, and the script does not return a "Success" message, you can send an alert to one or more persons. Enter one email address or multiple address by separating them with a semi-colon(;). Make sure to verify the email address(es) are valid to ensure receiving alert emails.

Max Per Packet - This is the maximum number of room type or rate types which will be bundled in one XML message. This setting only refers to the Inventory and Rate XML messages. The recommended setting is 4.
