iQ-Worldlink General

Description - Enter a description for this Trading Partner/GDS. The description name is used to create and use a directory for all inbound and outbound documents. It is recommended that once this is set that it not be changed. These folders are automatically created and all messages (inbound and outbound) must use these directories.

Message Type - Defines the type of inbound and outbound message processing to use. For all new configurations, only the Open Travel Alliance(OTA) should be used. There is no guarantee that the other formats will be supported in future versions of roomMaster. OTA is a standard form of communication between Hotel Trading Partners.

Creator ID/Identifier - The Creator ID should only be entered when you select the WorldRes Compatible or (OTA) Open Travel message types. The Creator ID further identifies the message for routing on remote servers, and is placed at the top of all XML documents as an XML comment if needed from the trading partner.

Message Header Identifiers - Enter the Hotel Code, Chain Code and Brand Code as defined by the Trading Partner/GDS. Since these fields are defined by the Trading Partner/GDS, InnQuest Software Support would not know these codes.

General Options

Do not ignore Targeted "Test" documents - If the OTA Document Target element is not set to either Blank or Production, the document will be ignored, deleted and not processed. This ensures that test documents are not created as 'live' reservations. For testing purposes, you can check this box to allow these types of reservations to be processed.

Force all inbound and outbound messages as AmountAfterTax - Selecting this option ensures rate messages sent and received from a Trading Partner/GDS are always read with the tax included. This option only applies to specific Trading Partners/GDS's for properties using a VAT/GST tax structure. DO NOT check this option unless told to by an InnQuest Software representative.

Disable this configuration and make inactive - Selecting this option will stop the communication between WorldLink and your Trading Partner/GDS. When checked, the Trading Partner/GDS will not appear as an option when the Post Now button is selected.

InnQuest Client Number - Your InnQuest Client Number is required for certain Trading Partners/GDSs and will be entered during the configuration by an InnQuest Software representative.
