iQ-Schedule Point of Sale
For properties that have iQ-POS, this button will link them directly with the program, making it easier to post charges.
Automatically Loading Items into iQ-POS
The Point of Sale option in iQ-Schedule displays a screen with options to automatically load items associated with an event from the same resource into iQ-POS.
Load Items for... - This option will load only the items associated with the current event.
Load Entire/All Events - If multiple events are attached to the same guest profile, like a manicure and massage in a spa, select this option to load all items from each event into iQ-POS. This allows the guest to have one ticket for all the services they received.
Load no Point of Sale Items - This allows you to access iQ-POS without loading any items for the events. Use this for item purchases that are not attached to the event, such as a guest purchasing hair treatment from a salon after getting their hair colored.
Load Items along with other Checked In Parties - This option will load items for multiple events attached to the same guest profile that have had the name changed on the event using Guest Profile Adjustment. All events are selected by default. Click on an event to unselect it. Again, this allows a single ticket to be created for multiple events.
Example: John Smith schedules a massage for himself and a wrap and facial for his wife Jane. The name on his wife's events are changed to her name, but still attached to his guest profile. When Load Items along with other Checked In Parties is selected, the massage, wrap and facial events are displayed with John Smith as the Guest Name on the massage and Jane Smith on the other two events. With all events selected, all the items associated with the events are automatically loaded into iQ-POS.
Note: Load Items along with other Checked In Parties will only display checked in events that used the CheckIn Now option so an arrival date and time are entered. iQ-Schedule will not include any events that are not checked in, even if they are attached to the same guest profile.
Accessing iQ-POS from iQ-Schedule
Using the same initials for the terminal sign on in iQ-POS and the user profile roomMaster will default the user to the access (password) screen in iQ-POS when the Point of Sale button is selected. The user then enters their iQ-POS password to sign in. The password in iQ-POS can be different from the one used in roomMaster since usually only the on screen numeric touch pad is available to enter a password.
Example: User Andy Creek uses iQ-Schedule to schedule and take payments for Tours. To make it easy, his user initials in roomMaster and terminal sign on initials in iQ-POS are ABC. His password for roomMaster is abcd123 making it PCI compliant. His password in iQ-POS is 0819. When he presses the Point of Sale button in iQ-Schedule, iQ-POS opens directly to the access (password) screen. He just enters 0819 to sign in and post any charges and payments.
If you do not wish for the Point of Sale button to appear throughout the calendar, go to Manage > Options and select the Hide Point of Sale option throughout Calendar.
