iQ-Schedule Overview
Go to Tools & Utilities > iQ-Schedule to view the calendar screen, or click on the Calendar icon in the Second Tool Bar
Depending on the default setting, the screen can appear by Day, by Week, or by Month. Use the tabs near the top of the window to select a display format.
To move between days, weeks or months, use the arrow keys beneath the tabs. The date or date range currently displayed appears next to the arrows.
Single-Column Mode vs. MultiColumn Mode (Week format only)
The Week format can be displayed in two different modes:
Single-Column Mode - This displays the days of the week in two columns without time increments.
MultiColumn Mode - The days of the week are displayed across the top of the screen with a time scale along the left edge. The current time is indicated by a highlighted line on the time scale. This option gives a more detailed display, making it easier to see events in relation to other scheduled events.
Check the box to display the weekly format in MultiColumn Mode. Unchecked it will display in Single-Column Mode.
Monthly Calendars
The upper left corner displays the current and following months calendar with the current day, week or month highlighted. To view to a specific day, week or month, simply click on the date you want. The calendar screen will display that date in its current format, either day, week or month. Dates with bold text have events scheduled.
Calendar Tree
The bottom left of the calendar screen is where you can select the calendar and resources to be displayed. If more than one calendar is entered, a drop down box allows you to select a calendar and the resources associated with it, with All Resources at the top. For a calendar with Dual Resources, All People will also appear. Each of these options can be expanded to list all the resources. Highlighting a specific resource will display the selected time frame for that resource including any scheduled events. In Daily and Weekly (MultiColumn Mode) only, the selected resource name appears at the top of the calendar.
To view a specific day of the week over a time frame, select Day for the format. Then click on the first date you want displayed in the calendar screen, then press and hold Ctrl and click the other dates you want to see in the calendar. Only the dates selected will appear on the calendar screen.
For example, use the following steps to only see future scheduled events for just Tuesdays and Thursdays for a specific employee(people resource):
-
Select Day as the format of the calendar screen.
-
Select the first Tuesday you would like to review.
-
Select the employee from the All People list.
-
Select the Tuesdays and Thursdays you would like to see from the Monthly calendars, pressing and holding Ctrl as you select the extra days.
-
Each day selected will highlight in the Monthly Calendar and appear in the calendar screen.
