iQ-Schedule
iQ-Schedule is the scheduling program from InnQuest Software. iQ-Schedule's flexibility makes it easy to manage your hotels' resources, from a few meeting rooms to a spa or golf course. Scheduling tours, guest activities or managing bicycle rentals can be handled simply with iQ-Schedule and all within roomMaster. It even connects directly to iQ-POS to bill the guest room or charge a non-guest.
iQ-Schedule is based upon calendars, resources and events:
-
Calendar - This is what is created for what you want to manage, for example meeting rooms, a spa, or an activity like a tour. This is where the events are scheduled and displayed.
-
Resource - This is the thing that you have a finite number of, have finite space for or only happens at a specific time. It can be a room (like a meeting room), an item that could be rented (like a bicycle), a tour, or a person who performs a service.
-
Event - This is the appointment made for the guest to reserve a resource.
Below are some examples of iQ-Schedule could be used at your property:
-
Example #1: Let's say a property has three meeting/banquet rooms: Main, East and West. A calendar named Meeting Rooms would be created and then a resource for each meeting room would be created. Having all three resources on the same calendar allows you to see what space is available to book.
-
Example #2: The property rents bicycles: Men's, Women's, Double, Boy's, and Girl's. There are four of each type except for the Double, which there are only two. The calendar name would be Bicycles. Each individual bicycle would be a resource, so for the men's bikes, you would label them M1, M2, M3 and M4. For the Women's W1, W2, and so on. The same would be done for all four boy's and girl's bicycles and the two double bicycles. This allows you to see at a glance all the bicycles available and at what time. When entering and event, you can verify you have the correct number and style of bikes for a family of four and enter the event.
-
Example #3: There is a full service spa on property. Services offered are Facials, Manicures and Pedicures, Massages, and Body Wraps. The calendar name would be Spa, similar to the previous examples, but the difference with a spa is you will have two resources: rooms and people. Different services would be performed in different rooms of the spa, so they would need to be accounted for. You also need to account for who is going to complete the service. Resources would be created for the Wet Room (body wraps) and the Massage Room. Resources would also be created for each spa employee that provides a service, be it a massage, a facial, or another service the spa offers. Setting up Dual Resources allows you to schedule a specific room and a specific person to perform the service.
