roomMaster is Stopped

roomMaster is placed in stopped mode when a system tasks are running to alert any external interface, EPI, iQ-Keylocks, iQ-POS, etc., to wait for the task(s) to finish. The following items will place the system in stopped mode:

  • Purging Files
  • Rebuilding Forecast
  • Night Audit
  • Verify Database Files

Correcting this issue when left in stopped mode

If any one of the above tasks do not finish properly, the system is left in stopped mode. Please contact support for assistance.

External Interfaces

The WorldLink and EPI applications can be verified by selecting Night Audit > External Interfaces. This will tell you if the application is active, however it will not give you the status of the application. For instance, if EPI is running but has a red status light, it would display as Running on this screen. This is a first step in troubleshooting when items are not processing through WorldLink or EPI. To further assist, the date and time of the last successful posting is displayed. Also, WorldLink Event Log and EPI Event log buttons are included as links to the roomMaster event log. Only messages regarding the respective application are displayed, again to assist in diagnosing any issues with the respective applications. Open the event log entries to determine the computer the application is running on.

See WorldLink and EPI for more information.

Permissions to this feature are controlled through Menu Profiles. Employees that need access should have a Menu Profile that includes External Interfaces/Restart roomMaster.
