External Interfaces
Use Night Audit > External Interfaces to verify if each of the above interfaces are actually running. If they are red (Not Running), and they are actually used at your property, please go to the main file server and start them.
InnQuest Support does not have access to your server or systems to start your interfaces. This needs to be done by your staff or IT departments. Contacting InnQuest Software during off hours to restart interfaces will incur a $75.00(US) night-call charge in all cases regardless of the circumstance. You need to go to your server and make sure the IQ-WorldLink (rw5iqlnk.exe) and EPI (rw5post.exe) programs are running and show in the bottom-right task tray.
How to start these interfaces / fix Interface Alert
In the two boxes (iQ-WorldLink and EPI) there is a Location. This is the location (server / computer) where these interfaces are supposed to be running. If you do not have access to this system (for EPI), you must find an IT person or internal person at your site who has access to these computers. Once you are at these computers, in the bottom right corner (Task Bar near the time) there should be EPI running. If they are not, look for this icon on your desktop. EPI - double-click to start them / run them and then lock the computer.
Most of the time, people LOG OFF these computers which shut-down these interfaces. It is important to LOCK these computers but not LOG OFF or SHUTDOWN these computers or they will shut down these applications.
This application must run all the time.
iQ-WorldLink
If you use iQ-WorldLink to interface with GDS/Channels and Expedia, it needs to always be running. This service is part of the hosted cloud system and
Press the iQ-WorldLink Event Log button to see when the last time iQ-WorldLink was closed.
EPI/External Posting Interface
If you use EPI to interface with your phone, voicemail and POS systems, it needs to always be running on the main roomMaster server. From the main server, select Start > All Programs > EPI or verify that it is already running by the task-tray in bottom right hand corner. Usually when file servers are rebooted, they do not start EPI until they are signed into Windows. Be sure the file server has been signed into Windows and EPI is running if there are issues with your phone or POS interfaces.
Press the EPI Event Log button to see when the last time EPI was closed.
Contacting InnQuest Support
If you do try and start these interfaces, note that these interfaces will not be allowed to start under Terminal Services by default so that users can log in to the main server and not start duplicate sessions of EPI. You must contact your local IT staff or management to local the server and access it. InnQuest staff does not know the Windows password to your server or have access to it.
Removing Alert Indicator
If you do not want to be alerted when Interfaces are down, this can be turned off in setup.
Setup > Configuration > Manage > External Interfaces and then check Do not check for Interface Alerts
