Housekeeping

Setup > Configuration > Housekeeping

The Housekeeping tab allows you to specify types of housekeeping service. This is particularly useful for extended stay properties that provide different levels of service.

Housekeeping Service Titles Use the Normal and Light/None fields for specifying your own labels for the different levels of housekeeping service. Make sure to enter a different title in each field to distinguish between the levels of service required. These titles appear on the various housekeeping reports (File > Reports Menu > Housekeeping) and cannot be the same for the reports to print properly.

Default Normal Days Extended stay properties may or may not give full service of housekeeping every day or every day of the week. Select which days normally will receive extended housekeeping options. At time of checkin, you can modify these options on a guest by guest basis or on the Housekeeping tab of the guest folio after checkin.

Housekeeping Reasons / Room Notes

Enter different reasons that a room can be placed Unavailable or Out of Service so it can be easily selected. These options appear on the General tab Room Properties screen in the Room Note field when placing a room Unavailable. They are also appear in the Reasons field when putting a room Out of Service.

Temporary Hold On Room

Enforce Release Security - When checked you can only hold a room up to 20 minutes and all users are "locked out" of the room. Only a Supervisor, Manager or the person placing a hold on the room can release the room to make it available again within the 20 minute time frame. Unchecked, you can hold rooms up to 120 minutes and all users are warned that the room is being held, however, they can proceed and use the room anyway.

Hold Reasons - Enter different reasons a room may be placed on hold so it can be easily selected. These options appear on the room properties screen when placing a room on hold.
