Payment Accounts

Since roomMaster's account codes are dynamically changed (you have the ability to add, change and delete account codes on your own), there are some codes which mean special things on the Add Transaction and Rate Adjustment Wizard screen. This screen is used to tie the account codes to special functions so these two screens work properly.

If you do not use the function or accept a credit card, leave the account code blank. Each function and credit card should have a Credit/Payment and Debit/Refund account code, except for Room Adjustment (Rate Wizard). It only requires a Credit entry.

To enter the proper account codes, highlight the function and select Change. Enter the proper account codes for Credit/Payment and Debit/Refund for roomMaster. If your property uses iQ-POS, enter the default Credit/Payment and Debit/Refund account codes for iQ-POS.

POS Outlet Specific - This feature allows you to enter Credit/Payment and Debit/Refund account codes for each outlet configured in iQ-POS. Use the drop down box to select the POS Outlet and enter the proper account codes.

Note: If you have iQ-POS and the Credit Card Processing Interface and have overridden the account codes in iQ-POS, you must enter the correct accounts codes here for the credit card processing to work correctly.

Ledger Names

This location allows you to change the ledger names for the Guest, City, and Advance Deposit ledgers. Enter the Ledger Names you prefer to use in each field. These names will be used for reports and if you use the Import/Export Wizard for and external accounting program, like Quickbooks or Peachtree.

Enter a Classification name if you want all QuickBooks transactions to be exported with. This field is optional and should only be filled out if your Accounting staff tells you to put something here. For more information, see QuickBooks Interface.
