Total Stay
The Total Stay option provides a summary of the guest stay, the room type and rate, and the guest charges. A break down of charges along with the notes and deposit terms associated with the guest rate can also be reviewed.
Summary
Stay Information
The checkin and checkout dates for the reservation are displayed in this location.
Room/Rate Information
The number of rooms and room type along with the rate code and any discounts are displayed.
Charge Information
The total of the Room Revenue and a total of Daily Charges with their respective taxes for the reservation are displayed. The final total for the stay, the total before tax and the total amount of taxes are also given.
Average Night - The default is the average per night of the guest stay before taxes. If a package rate is on the reservation, all charges that are rolled up into the package rate are included in the average night.
Example: A golf package includes room revenue, golf fees and breakfast and the charges are, $100, $50, and $12.50, respectively. If in the package rate setup, the package roll-up option is selected for all charges, the average night displayed would be $162.50. If the package roll-up option is only selected for the room charges and golf fees, the average night displayed would be $150.
To display the average night including taxes, check the Show Tax roll-up option on Folio and Journal screens in Setup > Configuration > Guest Ledger.
Charge Deposit - If a deposit requirement has been set for the rate code on the reservation, the amount required for the deposit is displayed. No Deposit Required will appear if a deposit requirement is not set. The stacked bills icon gives you different options to charge for a deposit.
Currency - Select this option to display an alternate currency. Only currencies entered in Back Office > Foreign Currency Setup can be applied, using the conversion rate entered.
Rate Details
The Rate Details tab displays the charges for the reservations by day by Room, Room tax, Daily Charges, Daily Charges tax, Daily Total and a running Balance. The Change column indicates if a rate change is applied during the stay or if the rate is a Package.
Yielded rates are highlighted the color of the yielding profile applied, or gray if a yielded rate has been locked. Click here for more information.
Notes and Deposit Terms
The Notes and Deposit Terms entered for the Rate Code on the reservation are displayed.
Yielding Details
Information regarding yielding calculations is displayed when the Capture Yielding Details option is selected. By default, the checkbox is always off as having it on will considerably slow down the yielding calculations through-out the entire program. It is only turned on by the current thread, and it is only on after you check the box and initiate a yielding function. It is not for day to day or general use and is only used if yielding calculations do not look right and you wish to see how the calculations are being performed.
