Converting Rich Text Variables to HTML
Rich text conditional variables created in previous versions of roomMaster will not work with HTML/Web Mail formatted letters. Use the following steps to create new variables to use with HTML/Web mail formatted letters:
-
Select Run Time Variables and open the previously created rich text variable.
-
Open Notepad or Microsoft Word.
-
Copy the IF Statement and the RunTime Printing Values (True and False) and paste them into Notepad or Word. Click OK to close the rich text variable..
-
Press Insert to create a new Run Time Variable.
-
Select Conditional (If/Then).
-
Enter a Field name for the HTML Conditional variable. The field name must be different from the Rich Text variable field name. Adding an H at the beginning or end of the field name can designate it as an HTML variable.
-
Enter a Description of the variable.
-
Paste the copied query into the IF statement section.
-
For True Value, Press Change Conditional Value if True and paste in the True value.
-
For False Value, Change Conditional Value if False and paste in the False value
-
Press Save
-
Select Format for HTML letters only, then press OK.
The new HTML Conditional RunTime variables can now be used for HTML/Web Mail formatted letters.
