Report Properties
You must have supervisor or manager level authority to access Report Properties. In this location you change the report title and description. You can also set reports to print automatically.
Report Information
This information is included with all reports available in roomMaster. To access, highlight the report. Then either right click and select Properties or click on the Properties button.

Category - This is the category the report is assigned to. Reports included with roomMaster default to specific category and cannot be changed. Once an embedded report is added to category, it can be changed by selecting the Change Category button on the Report Properties window.

Report Title - For reports included in roomMaster, you can change the name of the report. For embedded reports, enter the name for the report. This field can be edited at a later date.

Run Report - This feature allows you to automatically run reports as part of the end of shift or dayend close process. The default is Do not Auto-Run, but click on the drop down box to select whether to run a report Before Dayend Close, After Dayend Close, at Month End, at End of Shift, or on a specific day of the week. Reports which have to do with the current audit date, the journal file, or other current day's information should be run Before Final Close. Reports which have to do with the next audit date, such as arrivals listing and housekeepers reports should be run After Dayend Close.

Description - All reports included with roomMaster come with a short description of what is included on the report. For embedded reports, add a description of the information contained in the report. This field can be edited at a later date.

This option allows you to write an SQL (Standard Query Language) statement which will access your data and create a runtime display and optional report. For more information, click here.
Adding reports to roomMaster

Go to Reports and highlight the category or custom report category the report should be added to in the report tree.

Click on the Properties button on the left side of the screen. This is where you can add, remove or modify custom report menu items.

Click on Insert to access the Report Properties screen and create a report entry. Fill in the report title and a full description. Also select if the report should run automatically.

Select the SQL Statement button, in the External Report section.

Enter the appropriate SQL statement for the Embedded SQL Report.

Click OK when finished
Reports can also be added by right clicking on the category the report should be added to and selecting Add Report and continuing from step 4 above.
Change a Custom Reports Category
Any reports saved in Custom Reports or a Custom Reports category can be moved to a Default category of roomMaster making it easier to group reports and control access to sensitive reports. To move a report, highlight it and click on Properties or right click on the report and select Properties from the menu. Click on Change Category in the Room Properties window. From the menu that appears, select the category to move the report to. The report will now be available from that category of the reports tree. It is also included in the report menu of the main screen of the category. For example, if a report is moved to the Front Desk category, the report can be printed from the Front Desk Reports button on the Folios screen.
