Categories
roomMaster defaults with eleven standard categories for reports. Use the report tree to expand and contract the different report categories.
The Custom Reports category is also included. Custom Reports is the category where reports designed in Embedded SQL Reports can also be stored.
Clicking the Categories button on the left side of the Reports screen allows you to create seven additional Custom Report Categories to organize custom reports.
Embedded SQL reports can stay in the Custom Reports categories indefinitely, or you can change the category of a report to a default category. The users that need access to the report or how sensitive the information is in the report are factors to determine a reports category. User Profiles Report Access can be used to limit access for each user to specific categories. So, if there is a report for the Front Desk staff in the Custom Reports category along with a report specifically for the General Manager, change the category of the front desk report to Front Desk or something else, and uncheck Custom Reports from the Report Access tab in User Profiles for all Front Desk Staff.
Access to all custom report categories created can only be allowed or denied. You cannot allow access to one custom report category for a user and deny them access to a different custom report category. They can have access to all custom reports or none.
