Lost and Found
The Lost and Found feature, Front Desk > Lost and Found, allows you to track items left at your property by guests. Any item can be entered along with other information such as color, where found, who found, etc. Use the drop down boxes for items and colors to select common items and colors/patterns.
When a guest calls to inquire about a missing item, open Lost and Found and then select Find to filter the items entered. Enter the search criteria to find the item. Only items that match the criteria will appear in the list.
When searching for items, the item name or color needs to be entered the same way it was originally entered for the item to appear in the list. If Red was entered as the color of a lost scarf, but it is searched for by entering Maroon, it will not appear in the list of items. Try like colors and similar names for items to ensure a thorough search is completed.
You can also enter portions of the item name to expand your search. When looking for a scarf, you can enter "sc" in the item and all items that have "sc" as part of their name will be included in the list.
If the item is returned, you can press the R button to mark it as returned. The current system date will be entered and the initials of the current user. If you discarded the item, press the D button and the Discard Date and Discarded by are entered automatically. Each of these fields can also be completed manually.
