EPI - iQ-POS
The iQ-POS program can interface with EPI and roomMaster at other properties to post Bill to Room charges from one property to another. The External Property feature in iQ-POS is a Micros emulation, so any Property Management Systems that interface with Micros can also receive Bill to Room charges from iQ-POS. Since it is all IP based, the distance between the properties is irrelevant.
To configure EPI to interface with iQ-POS from another property the Special Formula needs to be set to /NOCONNECT. This allows iQ-POS at the sending property to be responsible for creating and maintaining the connection with EPI. The status light will remain green at all times when the special formula is used.
Since the External Property option is a Micros emulation, to post to a company master direct bill account at your property, the /PREFIXRC special formula must be entered. This allows posting to City Ledger by Account ID Prefix. All account numbers prefixed by "R" will be posted to rooms and all account numbers prefixed by "C" will go to City Ledger. Micros users can bill to room using "R101" to post to room 101 and "C812" to post to City Ledger account 812, for example.
