Languages

roomMaster allows you to setup different languages to print out on the guest folio and guest sign-in sheet. In addition, the housekeeping associates report can also print in another language. Currently, there are only four functions which use additional languages in roomMaster.

To create a new language entry, select Default Language (U.S.) and then <Add New Language>

Note: You are limited to 20 characters per entry. Each entry may or may not fit on the printed layout. You should modify your text so it prints properly on all the printed documents. Some fields may accept 20 characters, but a limited number of those characters may only fit on the document. If you find that it does not fit, try using another word, phrase or similar word of less characters.

Sign-In Sheet (Reservations)

To setup the language on the sign-in sheet, select Setup > Configuration > Reservations > Sign-in Sheet Setup > Languages. Update the language entries as needed. Any blank entry will print the default entry.

Folios (Folio Setup)

To setup the language on the sign-in sheet, select Setup > Configuration > Folio Setup > Folio Languages and Layout > Languages. Update the language entries as needed. Any blank entry will print the default entry. To setup the account descriptions as well, you must go to Setup > Configuration > Guest Ledger > Account Codes and modify each of the account entries on the "Language" tab.

Associates Report (Reports)

To setup the language on the associates (housekeeping) report, access the report using the Report Menu. Select the Setup Option tab on the report selection screen and then press the Associates Report Language Setup button.

Rate Export Wizard (HTML)

To setup special entries in the Rate Export Wizard, select the HTML Literals (Language Setup) option when exporting rate information. Empty values will generate the default values.

Special Assignments in the language table are available:

Table Width - Width of the generated calendars and screens (usually 640)

Colors - All colors should be entered in HTML format (#rrbbgg) -- an example of white is #FFFFFF and black is #000000
