Current Active Users

A list of the current users is displayed, with the date and time of their respective logins, the Windows workstation name as well as the current drawer for each user.

If a user's system is rebooted while roomMaster is still running, or if they have exited from roomMaster abnormally, you may need to Delete the user from the active list. Deleting this entry will not remove a currently active user on the system, it can however, create problems if the user is still logged in.

To see the list of current users or delete current users in roomMaster, Navigate from the main roomMaster menu: Night Audit > Current Active Users

How Current Active Users are tracked

When a user signs in, their name and other related information is written to the database. When the user exits the programs or signs off, their name is removed form the database. If the user exits the program in an abnormal way (turns off PC, CTRL+ALT+DEL, GPF, hard-halt, etc.), the system does not successfully remove the name from the database and the name still shows as if the user is still signed in.

If this happens on a regular basis, you should review this file to see if it is always the same user or the same workstation. This will help correct the situation by retraining the user or fixing the workstation. Usually, this may be because of a bad network card, bad computer or there is no UPS (uninterruptible power supply) connected to the computer, server computer or network hub.
