Using POS Reservations
Adding POS Reservations
It is easy to add a POS Reservation. Tap the Add button and then tap the Table/Time button. Use the Status field(s) to show availability and select any time with a green status dot. Add the guest’s name and contact information and you’re done!
Managing Walk-Ins
When guests arrive without reservations, POS Reservations makes it easy to track walk-ins. Tap the Add Waiting button and an on-screen keyboard will be available to enter the guest’s name, the number of people in their party, as well as the restaurant pager number being given to the them. The WalkIn status is automatically assigned.
When guests arrive
After a guest checks in at the host stand, the host uses the Status button to update a guest’s POS Reservation:
- Use the Pager Number button to assign a restaurant pager to the guest.
- Update the Reservation Status as needed to indicate Waiting or Partially Here.
- Change the Seating Priority to High for VIPs.
- Select a Quick Note or enter a Custom Note if needed.
- Change the Reservation Status to Paged when a table is ready for a waiting guest.
Seating guests
Once a table is ready for a guest, highlight their POS Reservation and tap Seat Now.
If the Pick Table Before Starting Order option is enabled in Configuration and Settings > Workstation Settings > Outlet Configuration, you will be prompted to select a table, which starts a check and assigns it to the table.
