Purge Files
To purge files, select Maintenance > Purge Files. This screen allows you to purge data whenever needed. A few examples of when you would want to do this would be if you were evaluating the iQ-POS and were ready to go live, you want to purge sales history from two years ago, or you would like to scrap your inventory and start over.
Select what you want to purge:
Inventory/current information (Normal System Reset) will purge all Categories, Items and Modifiers.
Erase Item Categories option will remove all categories setup in the system.
Erase Modifier Items option will remove all modifiers that entered in the system.
Erase Inventory Items/Item Information option will remove all items you have entered in the system.
Sales History option will remove sales history up to the date specified.
Check History Detail (Premier Edition Only) will remove the check history information through the date specified.
This process can not be undone. Be sure you really want to remove the select information before you run this process!
You will be notified when the process is complete. If you get an error message, this means that either the file could not be locked because some other process has it held open, or the file does not exist. Check to be sure you actually have data to purge and that iQ-POS has been closed on all other terminals.
