POS Reservations

POS Reservations allows reservations to be taken for each outlet, such as Dining Room reservations.

To turn on POS Reservation functionality:

  • On each workstation, select Maintenance > Configuration and Settings > Outlet Configuration and select "Show POS Reservations on this workstation"

  • On each workstation, select Maintenance > Configuration and Settings > Options and select "Display Service Menu"

Both checked options are required to use POS Reservations.

Once the options above are set on that computer workstation, you will be able to access the POS Reservation screen directly from the To Do's tab in roomMaster (Reservations and Folio Properties) as well.

iQ-Point of Sale Reservations features:

  • Manage advance table reservations plus walk-in traffic.
  • Make table reservations directly from roomMaster from a room reservation or guest folio.
  • Tight integration with roomMaster includes confirmation letter content plus unified cancellations.
  • Large buttons and an on-screen keyboard is provided so POS Reservations can be operated from a touchscreen PC.

You can have POS Reservations track the Adults and Children (covers) for each reservation, as well as prompt for the restaurant pager number given to the guest and/or their phone number. You can also create two Status Times, which are the two main starting times for when you accept reservations. For example, entering 16 for Start Hour 1 and 10 for Start Hour 2 would create two distinct time periods for the hotel to accept reservations: 16:00 (4PM) for dinner, and 10:00 (10AM) for lunch.

Managing POS Reservations

POS Reservations are managed by each outlet using the Reservations button on the Service Menu.

  • Navigate to the desired date using the arrow or Calendar buttons in the bottom-left of the screen.

  • Reservations have icons to quickly see the current status for each guest.

  • Reservations are sorted by time and priority (high, normal, walk-in)

  • Each reservation includes the time, priority, number of people, pager number, and desired table.

  • The POS Reservations screen can be filtered by various statuses:

    • Paged (table is ready)
    • Waiting (guest is here, table is not ready)
    • Reservations (guest has not yet arrived)
    • Cancelled
